We're a church of about four hundred people in the middle of Springfield — teachers, nurses, students, retirees, and a lot of restless kids. If you're looking for a place to start, start here.
Planning your first Sunday
The four things people ask before they walk in.
No forms, no sign-up, no one will single you out. Here's everything you'd want to know ahead of time.
How long is it?
About 70 minutes
Music, a message from the Bible you can actually follow, and time to pray. Doors open 30 minutes early for coffee.
What do people wear?
Whatever you own
You'll see suits and work boots in the same row. Come straight from a night shift if that's your week.
Where do I park?
North lot, off Second
Free, and there's a team out there in orange vests. Accessible spaces are right by the main doors.
What about my kids?
They'll be looked after
Six weeks through fifth grade have their own space with screened, background-checked volunteers. You'll get a text if they need you.
Will I be put on the spot?
No standing up
We don't ask guests to introduce themselves or give. Sit in the back, leave early — nobody's counting.
Can't make it in person?
The 10:00 is live online
Watch on the site, YouTube, or Facebook. Every message is posted by Monday afternoon with audio and notes.

Find your people
Church happens the other six days too.
Groups meet in homes, in the fellowship hall, and at the diner on Fourth. Pick one and show up once — that's the whole commitment.
Kids
Six weeks to fifth grade. Songs, a Bible story, and a snack they'll tell you about in the car.
Sundays 10:00 & 11:30
Students
Sixth through twelfth grade. Games, honest questions, and adults who remember what it was like.
Wednesdays 6:30 pm
Small groups
Eight to twelve people, a book of the Bible, and dinner. New groups form in September and January.
Various nights
Care & counseling
Meals after a birth or a funeral, hospital visits, grief groups, and confidential pastoral care.
By request, any time
Outreach
The Thursday food pantry, the winter shelter partnership, and two teams overseas each year.
Thursdays 4–7 pm
Worship & arts
Choir, band, sound, and slides. If you can sing, play, or run a laptop, there's a spot on a Sunday.

Back-to-school week is our busiest. Two-hour shifts, no experience required.

Students and teachers, bring your bag up front. We'll pray over the school year.

Giving
Where the money goes, plainly.
Sixty-one cents of every dollar keeps Sunday running and the staff paid. Twenty-two goes to the food pantry, benevolence fund, and mission partners. The rest keeps the roof on a seventy-year-old building. Our annual report is posted every January, line by line.
